For a fish-only marine aquarium you should test pH, Alkalinity, Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate. For a reef tank you must test the Calcium, Magnesium and Phosphate levels in addition to the parameters above. For the fresh water aquarium you should test pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate and TDS.
