Description

Bacopa Caroliniana

Bacopa Caroliniana is a well known aquatic stem plant which is both easy to grow and beautiful in an aquascape.  The plant is typically green but with the addition of iron and micronutrients, the tips of new growth can exhibit shades of red or bronze.

This plant can be great for beginners because it is hardy, CO2 or nutrients levels are relatively unimportant but are recommended for better growth. It does prefer a nutrient-rich environment and clean water. Bacopa requires moderate light or the lower parts of the stems will suffer. It is propagated through cuttings that easily take root in the substrate. The stems can be grown submersed or emersed and will bloom tiny pink and white flowers above water.  It is most decorative when planted in a small group.

Tissue culture plants are grown in vitro from a state of the art laboratory specialized in propagating aquatic plants. This means you can enjoy strong and healthy plants free from pests and diseases from the start.
