Seriatopora caliendrum – Green Birdsnest Coral
Seriatopora caliendrum, commonly known as the Green Birdsnest or Thick-branched Birdsnest, is a fast-growing small-polyp stony (SPS) coral native to the tropical Indo-Pacific. It belongs to the family Pocilloporidae and is highly celebrated in the reef-keeping hobby.
Because it is significantly more resilient and forgiving than Acropora, it serves as an excellent “bridge coral” for hobbyists transitioning from soft corals or LPS into a dedicated SPS reef tank.
