Description
Sodium Carbonate 1 Litre
Sodium Carbonate (Soda Ash) is used alone or in combination with Sodium Bicarbonate to maintain proper alkalinity and raise the pH of the aquarium water. Commonly used in the 2 Part daily dosing system to maintain proper calcium and alkalinity levels on a daily basis. We recommend testing alkalinity levels before use. Dissolves crystal clear.
Using Sodium Carbonate
- Pour 1.5 litres of with RO/DI or distilled water into an empty container.
- While stirring water, add 1 level cup of Sodium Carbonate.
- Increase amount at a rate of 1 level cup per 1.5 litres of water
- Once dissolved, transfer solution to the dosing container.
- Label Alkalinity and let sit before use.
Note
If you have difficulty dissolving Sodium Carbonate in water float the container in a sink of hot water and stirring the solution. Do not add Sodium Carbonate directly to the aquarium water. You should not raise alkalinity by more than 1 dKH (0.36 meq/l) per 24 hours.
Caution
Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Wash hands after handling.
