Description
Fimbriaphyllia paradivisa – Green Tip Branching Frogspawn
Fimbriaphyllia paradivisa, commonly known as the Green Tip Branching Frogspawn, is a popular and visually striking Large Polyp Stony (LPS) coral. Named for its multi-tipped tentacles that resemble clusters of frog eggs, this Indo-Pacific native features a vibrant green base or green-tipped tentacle morphs that bring beautiful movement and coloration to reef aquariums.
Because it is a branching variety, it grows relatively fast—forming distinct stalks that can easily be fragmented (fragged)—making it significantly hardier and a much better candidate for beginners than its wall-forming counterparts.
Care Tips:
- Moderate to easy to keep
- Suitable for beginners
- Prefers slightly nutrient-rich water over ultra-low nutrients
- Grows well under almost any light (75-150 PAR)
- Likes light to medium currents. Avoid direct, harsh flow.
