The Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge is filled with glycerine liquid that coats the internal parts and works to dampen the effect of pulsation and pressure spikes. This means the pressure gauge is less likely to give inaccurate readings due to wear and tear that mechanical vibration or pulsation tends to cause and increases service life. This Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauge comes assembled with 1/4 inch quick connect fittings for quick easy installation in-line before the RO Membrane. It is important to maintain sufficient PSI for the correct operation of a reverse osmosis unit. Low water pressure is a leading cause of poor RO system performance. The pressure gauge assures that proper pressure is being supplied to the RO system and will make pressure drops apparent which tells you when sediment and carbon blocks need to be changed.
