Description
Rhodactis Mushroom – Green and Purple
Rhodactis mushrooms are photosynthetic corallimorphs native to Indo-Pacific reefs, often found in lagoons, bays, and shallower reef areas. They feature a fleshy, disc-like oral disc with numerous tentacles (or hair-like structures in some varieties) that give them a mushroom or anemone-like appearance. They are highly variable: sizes range from small 1-inch bullseye types to large “elephant ear” colonies over a foot across. Coloration is diverse, with body and tentacle colors often contrasting—common combos include greens, purples, pinks, browns, and neons
