RO Membrane Housing
This RO Membrane Housing is used to hold 12 inch reverse osmosis membranes. Both the ribbed cap and housing are one-piece injection moulded parts and when screwed together are sealed with an O-Ring.
The O-Ring is the only wearable part and if kept lubricated will last years without any problems. Over time the O-rings can go bad resulting in slight variations in dimensions and placement of the O-rings. We suggest purchasing an entire new housing if it is several years old and leaking.
We recommend the use of a push connect elbow check valve or an in-line check valve on the product water (RO water) line if you are going to use an auto shut off valve on your RODI system. The waste water port requires a flow restrictor that is sized to the membrane capacity, typically a 75 GPD membrane requires a 450 or 550 ml/min restrictor.
Single clips are available to mount the RO membrane housing or dual clips to hold the RO membrane housing another filter housing.
