Zoanthids in general are colonial soft corals from the family Zoanthidae, commonly found in shallow reef environments. The “Halle Berry” strain is a named cultivar, likely inspired by the actress’s name for its bold beauty. These corals are prized for their eye-catching patterns and relatively fast growth through budding and encrusting, allowing them to spread across live rock or frag plugs in a home aquarium. They are considered hardy, forgiving, and an excellent entry-level zoanthid for reef tanks.
