This Magnetic Copperband Feeder is crafted to meet the unique feeding habits of your Copperband Butterfly Fish, providing easy access to food without competing with tangs and angels for a spot at the dinner table. The feeder also encourages instinctive behaviours such as hunting and picking for food as well as supporting small and frequent feeding
The Magnetic Copperband Feeder is made from reef safe materials and expertly constructed for safety and durability in your aquarium. The strong external magnet enables attachment to 20mm glass and the internal magnetic feeding disk allows for easy assemble without clips. The two piece internal disk set includes a solid disk and holed disk which gives you the option for a shallow feed or deep feed.
Shallow Feed – This is a great way for your Copperband to pick at food through the holed disk while in quarantine and adapt to this new feeding method. Press chopped clams or frozen food into the holes and place into the feeder on top of the solid disk. Note that if use in the community aquarium this method will enable other fish in the aquarium to feed from the disk and out compete the Copperband.
Deep Feed – This option prevents other aggressive fish from getting at the food deeper within the feeder. The holes now restrict access to larger, more aggressive fish, allowing your Copperband to feed in peace.
