The Metal Halide Lamp-70w 20000k provides an abundance of soft blue light and a superior spectrum balance with no extra actinic lighting needed. Coral fluorescence will be excited in some species under the enhanced blue spectrum of the 20000K lamps. This double ended quartz metal halide lamp simulates the light conditions of a coral reef to give an even more realistic looking aquarium. There are two factors that are important when choosing a lamp for use over a marine aquarium.
- The light output has to be beneficial to the health of the livestock. This is particularly important in aquariums with corals, anemones and clams. The output must promote photosynthesis by the microscopic algae which live within the livestock tissue.
- The lamp must provide an effect which is visually pleasing to the eye of the fish keeper.
